Hi to all,

I tried already a couple of Poker formats, some with success and some with -0…My biggest cashes were at MTT…But because of my Job I really do not have the time to play MTT every day, except Saturday and maybe Friday…

Therefore I want to concentrate myself on 6 max Zoom, it is very convenient to play. No need to table select, just sit down and play. Of course on the downside the games are much more tougher.

As the Hotel is now closed where I normally work, I do have now more time to play…

Goal is:

To learn the Game
To play Comfortable on each stake
To climb up the Stakes
Play first only 2 Tables at the same time
Generate a side income from Poker

Playing Time:

Every evening when my daughter goes to bed
In the mornings before the family wakes up (Yes they are loong sleepers :))
Study time, during the day and in the morning when I’m not playing

I know it is a very hard goal to achieve a side income with Poker, but it is not impossible…

Bankroll:

1000$

Stakes – I will start with 10NL Zoom

Resources:

– I have the Elementary Cash Game course, which will for sure help as well with ZOOM (Raise Your Edge)

– Need find some good videos on youtube about Zoom Poker.

– Post hands here for discussion

By the way this video yesterday was great…

Hello Eduardo, good luck in your journey. :f_drink:

Have you considered playing normal tables? Because as you say, zoom is tougher and these days you basically dont need to table select. There are more recreational players in the pool than ever before. You just sit and they will be there.

And what about starting at NL2? I know it is annoying to play so low but if I understand well you dont have experience with cash games so you might bring some MTT habits to the tables at first. So starting at NL2 might save you some money before you get the grasp of 6-max cash games. With this bankroll you can move up anytime you feel you beat the stake.

Anyway good luck at the tables :f_drink:

If I understand you right? You mean it is better to start with 6 max regular...Because there are more Recreational players and you don’t need to table select?

I thought that recreational players prefer Zoom?

Well on micros fish is everywhere both on zoom and regular tables. But I find regular tables better for a few reasons. Especially you play multiple hands against the same players. So over a short period of time you can get valuable reads and stats if you use HUD. That is priceless because you can exploit their tendencies much easier. On zoom you will mostly play vs unknown players and that is the biggest disadvantage. And there is really so many recreational players right now that you dont need to table select at least until like NL50.

Hey,

Just to say good luck!

And yeah, agree with @Dandiiik. If you can table select to play only against weaker players and learn what is their weakness you can probably get more money out of them. Even if there are more weaker players in zoom.
