What's up party people in lockdown.

I'm just wondering, if say A♣:J♣:8♥:7♠: is in our range for a given situation,
how would it change if it was A♣:J♣:8♣:7♥:?

Is there a significant difference?

Hey bradomurder,

According to JNandez Preflop Helper, both would be playable from EP.

You would have the following EV per hand:

EP : 100% (0.1BB per Hand)
A♣: J♣: 8♥: 7♠:

EP : 100% Raise (0.02 BB per Hand)
A♣: J♣: 8♣: 7♥:

At the Micros, the rake is so high and the fold equity so low, that it is recommended not to play hands from early position withan EV of 0.05 BB - 0.10 BB

Thanks for the reply, so the difference in EV for these two hands is 0.08BB

Is the Jnandez preflop tool free?

I'm using a different tool but it doesn't differentiate between these two hands

The Preflop Helper is included in the Mastermind membership, which costs 99 dollars a month.
