This is the analysis of over 120 million starting hands on some poker website. Cash game.
The result have showed that really only 40 out of 169 poker starting hand are profitable.
These hands are : AA, KK, QQ, JJ and AKs : TT, 99, AQs, AJs, ATs, AK, AQ, KQs, KJs : 88, 77, A9s, A8s, AJ, AT, KTs, K9s, KQ, QJs, QTs, JTs : 66, 55, A7S-A3s, K8S, KJ, KT, Q9s, QJ, J9s, T9s.
I am not quite sure what to think anymore. If i understand right, that means that only these hands are profitable and all other are just not worth to play. Thats fked up, dont you think ?
So wtf. Does that mean that when we play more hands then these, then we lose with all the other hands and make profit with only hands mentioned. And the profit comes when the money we make with these profitable hands, cover up all the losses with all the other hands. Thats so fked up.
I really lost after this. Does this mean that you should start play only these hands and become nit. Is it even possible to make profit in long run being sooo tight ?
What you all think of that ?
