PokerStars - $0.16 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 4 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

SB: 161.5 BB
Hero (BB): 101.5 BB
CO: 287 BB
BTN: 101.31 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 2♦ 8♥

fold, fold, SB raises to 2 BB, Hero calls 1 BB

Flop: (4 BB, 2 players) 7♣ 4♥ 6♣
SB checks, Hero bets 2.56 BB, fold

Hero wins 3.81 BB

This person is playing 24/20 over 100 hands.
Raise First In on SB with 2bb.

I got a few questions, what to do in a spot like this? Do we have a merged(value oriented) 3-betting range?
Can we call as weak as a hand as 23o or 28o?

I don't believe the call is profitable in long run.

Just fold pre.

1. Your hand is terrible and will only lead you to bad spots postflop.
2. On micros rake is huge and even if you can outplay opponent postflop it's probably not going to be +EV in the longterm due to the rake.
3. If you want to play hands like this you need to have a plan for postflop. You need to know preflop how you will play postflop and abuse opponent's leaks. If you don't know any opponent's postflop weaknesses you have no business holding on to hands like 82o. I don't think you had any postflop plan when you made the preflop call here.
4. After only 100 hands, you have no idea how often opponent is actually openraising on SB unless you've seen him opening hands like 72o and other bottom combos. It's quite likely he's tighter than you actually think he is.
5. Even if he's opening 100%, you can still fold bottom 10-20% hands and deny him autoprofit.

If you wonder how I would adjust to someone minraise stealing 100%, I would start to 3b to 5bb 80-100% of my hands and see how he adjusts. But most of the time I would not expect anyone to just go on stealing 100%.

Cheers

Learned something from this discussion, and I don't know if it is profitable it is more or less a spot that I don't know what to do and just call 100% range, also weazel is calling this 100% according to a video but I'd liked the confirmation though. However I can indeed start to 3b those crappy hands and give up every flop if not hitting a monster, it will also improve my 3-bet vs sb a pretty good amount though which is not that good yet. Thank you!
