I wanted to collate a few hands together from $1 SNG's, where I felt like I was really nitty in folding.

Were my choices correct, or should I be looking at things differently? Thanks in advance for any advice

Pre Flop: (pot: 95) Hero has 8♦ J♠

UTG raises to 80, UTG+1 calls 80, MP calls 80, fold, BTN calls 80, fold, fold

HAND 2

Villains Stats - Over 95 hands - VPIP 17% / PFR 11% / 3B 8% - his two 3B have been in late position.

Pacific Poker - 75/150 Ante 15 NL - Holdem - 6 players

UTG: 2,946
MP: 711
Hero (CO): 3,610
Villain (BTN): 2,003
SB: 1,494
BB: 2,736

6 players post ante of 15, SB posts SB 75, BB posts BB 150

Pre Flop: (pot: 315) Hero has K♣ Q♦

fold, fold, Hero raises to 450, BTN raises to 1,988 and is all-in, fold, fold, fold

Hi Ch0pperReid,
I moved this to the Sit & Go Hand Discussion board as well.

In all 3 hands I think they are good folds.

To make it easier for reviewers, it is probably best to post 1 hand in each thread.

Hand 1:
Pretty standart fold. I think we can flat stuff like 98s here, but I would not go much looser. Depends on your post-flop skills though. Beware even of hands like QJo here as it doesn't play well multiway and a fold is okay here. Really it's not bad to fold such a hand in this spot. J8o is way too shitty here!

Hand 2:
Note that you can profitably open push here. On these small stakes with passive opponents I also tend to raise/fold, but I don't like your open raise sizing. I think make you should make it somewhere between 2 and 2,5 times the blind - especially from late position. The more hands you raise the smaller your sizing should be. That's why we usually raise bigger from UTG than from BTN.

Hand 3:
There is something missing here I believe or it is too late at night for me :f_drink:

Thank you for the advice here. I don't know what happened to hand 3, but because PT has gone all funny on me, I won't be able to find the hand out of 1,500 played today. :f_rolleyes:

As for hand 2, I totally appreciate your point of view on this. I'm used to betting about 4x from early position to 3 in later positions, although I do change this up. Why? because of the ante's. I've always been worried that betting really light makes me look like a complete and utter donk.
