hello,

i am wondering what action is more profitable OTF, a check/ shove like i played, or a check/call and let him bet next rounds?
Villain is completely maniac, play every round and is very aggresive. His cbet is up to 90% betting always 2/3 pot OTF

So,

Hero BB (201bb)
Villain BUT ( 112bb)

VIllain opens x3,5 , SB fold, Hero (BB) with A♠: K♣: raise to 11.5 , BUT calls

FLOP K♠: 9♠: 6♠:

BUT bet 2/3 pot, Hero shove, BUT fold

so ?

To be honest I'd like to have seen a cbet here instead of just checking, but that aside, no reason to slowplay at all, TPTK with a nut flush draw is strong, but it might not be strong enough, aggression is a good thing, not sure about shoving, but slowplay for sure is not the way to go here.

Villain is completely maniac,

In that case, I agree with tieppofer -- A CBet here may induce a bluff from a maniac.

It appears though, the the bluff came anyway...

Cheers,
VS

Versus maniac x-c is fine. Don't need to protect much having spade and if villain is type to barrel a lot we can just let him spew.
