I would like to know if the best decision was to check/fold after the flop.

MP was pretty tight (15 vpip) so I decided to flat with my AQo. SB seems to have pretty average stats.

PokerStars - $0.05 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 276.2 BB
SB: 124 BB
BB: 103.2 BB
UTG: 105.8 BB
MP: 165.6 BB
Hero (CO): 166.4 BB

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has A♥ Q♣

fold, MP raises to 3 BB, Hero calls 3 BB, fold, SB calls 2.6 BB, fold

Flop: (10 BB, 3 players) 7♠ 5♣ 6♦
SB checks, MP checks, Hero bets 4.8 BB, SB calls 4.8 BB, fold

Turn: (19.6 BB, 2 players) 8♣
SB checks, Hero checks

River: (19.6 BB, 2 players) Q♠
SB bets 14.2 BB, Hero calls 14.2 BB

Spoiler

SB shows 4♠ 4♣ (Straight, Eight High)
(Pre 54%, Flop 77%, Turn 93%)
Hero mucks A♥ Q♣ (One Pair, Queens)
(Pre 46%, Flop 23%, Turn 7%)
SB wins 46 BB

I think flatting pre is ok i don't get the bet on the flop though i would just check and realise some free equity also AQ has some showdown value.I just dont think it's a board you want to be probing on multi way with AQo

I agree -- check/call maybe OTF
The middle cards hit opponents range much better than ours, I think
I'm folding the river though in this spot.
