AK 4bet pot blind vs blind

Obviously I don`t have other options preflop. However, I`m not sure what I have to do on the flop. I decided to bet small because I should have range advantage on this board. When he shoved I was not sure once again, but decided to fold. I didn`t know the villain but he looked like reasonable player

I bet 1/4 pot or I check call oop:
If I have A4s cbet, without trips I check.

His shove is redic prolly I don't fold AK, does oppo shove pp for protection?
