I was unsure whether to bet or check on the flop. As a backdoor straight draw I decided to c-bet, but not sure if I should have played this as a check call since we have the A high that counts as showdown value. I second barrel turn because both it represents a scare card and gives me a gutshot to a straight, though being a heart it lowes my equity against his range. Maybe should have just checked the turn and given up the hand?
A flop Cbet isn't to bad, but after the call of villain i would shutdown the turn with no equity if he/she would call. The turn could be a scare card, but even than you need to able to 3barrel to win the hand if he/she would call the turn.

I'd check the flop we've got air. Probably got better hands to defend too. If he bet 1/3 I'd call. If we had a heart I'd call 1/2.
As played on this turn I don't mind a bet with the gutshot but with 3 clean outs it seems a little too weak. You don't have to win every hand,.. just give up! π
