You need to wager it. Meaning you need to play casino games or poker enough to release it.

Hi nguyenhieudl,
To use your bonus funds you must to the following:
:diamond:  Open the cashier, go to the withdrawal section and request a withdrawal of your entire cash balance.
:diamond:  Wager your bonus money in either the poker or the casino -- depending on where it says you can use them.
:diamond:  When you're done playing with the bonus money for the day, return to the cashier and reverse the withdrawal request.

Note that some tickets will be forfeited on the withdrawal request, so be sure to use them before requesting the withdrawal.

Quite correct, but 888 will always use cash if it is available, so you must to the withdrawal dance before the bonus amounts can be used.

And when doing that you risk of violating T&C to abuse bonus terms. At least either check if it's ok from the support or make the decision on your own. But some sites think that kind of behaviour as against T&C.

It seems that this would be the case.
However the facility to do this is built into the software.
I've been doing this at least once a week for a few months.

I received an email from support with this information. They were careful to warn that some tickets are forfeited on withdrawal, but on your list of available bonuses, those tickets are tagged so you know.

I decided to have a go at taking one of 888's bonus offers.

Deposit $200, to get $100 bonus casino play.

Played thru the $100 bonus on low stakes BJ, 50 cents a pop, playing perfect basic strategy, and managed to retain the $100. It's capped at $100 so you can't win more.

Now comes the difficult bit. To use the $100 casino bonus, your cash balance has to be depleted. You Can't withdraw as the bonus would be lost. I thought about playing poker satellites to convert the cash to tickets. Instead I registered to future poker tournies until all the money was gone.

So now I can play the bonus amount. Now I have to play the 5 X $100 on the slots to release the bonus to my cash account. This is very difficult because of the house edge on slots.

Anyhoo, after many many hours of boredom playing mindless slots, I achieved the goal of playing the $500 requirement, and realised a profit.

I did all this to see if it was possible to get the bonus without losing all my own money.

Suprisingly, it worked.

So I now have the money secured in my real money account, and I unregistered from all the tournies.

Next thing I know, is that I have been blocked from my account. I received an email saying I had abused the bonus conditions pending an investigation.

I'll probably never hear from them again, so all my money is in the wind.

Beware the power of the casino, when you try to get any sort of edge over them.

Obviously if I had lost nothing would have been said!

It can't be like that. When you play at the casino, they use first your "real" money, then the bonus money. Otherwise everyone will deposit, use the bonus money and then cash out the deposit (the real money).

Now I have to play the 5 X $100 on the slots to release the bonus to my cash account. This is very difficult because of the house edge on slots.

It's pretty easy...This is only 5 x 100. The casino bonuses are 25x-50x...You should find (next time I guess), some retro slot...Without progressive jackpot...Let's say the retro slot "777"..The biggest win is 27 bets ( I think). Something like this...Perfect...Find some classical slots, with 3 lines only, if it's possible. Or 5...Without big wins possible...Let's say the max win is 100 bets...Or 250...Even if you don't hit the max win, they usually are very rare (small chance), which means you lose very small percentage of your bets. When you play..

He will lose the bonus money...Only with the request. Should be some message, "warning"..Or not...Just rules with small letters..

Well if it was attempted the way 888 wanted I would have torched the money, I can't imagine there a many sober/intelligent people would touch it -EV$ right?

No worries, I actually did it 8 times and made a profit of $800, and cashed out.

They offered me the bonus again, so I kept going, unfortunately it was a trap, those tricksters! So I lost my $200 deposit

$600 profit at the end.

Only regret was, that I won one of those all-in freerolls at last, many many attempts, and acquired a $60 buy-in ticket, also in the wind too, boo hoo...

Never liked 888 anyway, you could only score 15 pstrat points a day, so getting to gold was very difficult, and platinum a dream.

Not necessarily:
888 has two kinds of bonus: One of them is forfeited on withdrawal, the other is not.
The full details are here: https://www.888poker.com/real-money-poker/deposit/bonus-policy/

Note that the above policy does not specifically mention that some bonuses can be used if you withdraw your cash. However in the list of bonuses in the client, some will tell you that they will be forfeited on requesting a withdrawal.
888 even provides a way for you to request a withdrawal, play with the bonus, then cancel the request.
I've done it.
Be careful though — if you ignore the warning, you do indeed forfeit the bonus even if you cancel the request.

OK now I get to my extreme objection with 888's bonus policy.
You cannot clear the bonus' wagering requirements with your available cash.
If you have any cash in your account, and if you have a bonus subject to forfeit on withdrawal, your bonus can never be cleared unless you go busto.
No other poker room has such a policy.

If you "hide" your money to satellites or as a withdrawal to get access to your bonus money, that is against T&C which you have clicked "I have read and understood".

That is quite normal casino bonus, where you play with your own money first. Of course, if you win big with your own money you can just cancel the bonus and cashout.

888 tech support was who told me about the withdrawal.
As I mentioned, if you will forfeit your withdrawal, it will tell you.
The two categories of bonuses are specifically described in the terms and conditions I linked above, and apply only to poker bonuses.

I know a lot of players who have been banned from bonuses when they make a "ghost" withdrawal or bet (and then cashout afterwards) to get access to bonus money. Sounds really weird if support tells someone to do it.

For slots, variance is the thing that makes them so profitable for casinos. I have played a lot of slots in past years and the length of a bad run can easily be thousands of spins. You can get 100+ deadspins (spin without a win) in every slot, and in some even more quite often. So if you get 20 freespins, it`s quite likely that you don`t win big. But every now and then you do. Depending on slot, you should get bonus feature about once in 500 spins or so. I have won big with freespins, and I have lost all freespins. For casino it doesn`t make sense to rig the slots for freespins. And it would be extremely hard as casinos don`t run the slots. They rent the slot from slot company, who offers the slot to all casinos.

Just like in poker. Even if opening AsJs preflop is +EV, you don`t always win with it. It`s the long run.

The 'big" casinos have their own slots, but very often it's 2-3% from the slots. Pokerstars have many own slots...The casinos don't like the high variance, they do like a low variance...But a low variance will make the game unattractive...You are right, the slots are not rigged, or at least this will very rare and in some very small casino. They don't care about this, they still will take your money..In other ways..The progressive jackpots are paid from the people, not from the casino. Some of the big jackpots are paid from the company, who maid the slot.

There are some scandals in the past. For example, "Pragmatic". I do love this slots, they are so cool. But the owner changed the name of the company maybe ten times in the past. When some scandal happens, some abuse...The last was when he gave to the casino owners option to change the RTP...With some limit...Lets say 91-95% range...And then he changed the name..Again...The scandal before the last abuse, was because of some "slot pros" who played for the progressive jackpot. A millionaires.. They were caught with "connections" with the Pragmatic owner...They were friends. Probably their "roll" was not their own. This not means "a crime"...But still..A scandal...

Those rules in the casinos are because those "bonus hunters". They are very big problem for the casino. If no defense against them, then the casino will go broke...Some of the rules are written, some not..If they decide that you are probably a bonus hunter, then ban and no money. "Bye".."move on"...

And this "schemes" up there will be a typical sighs for "bonus hunting". They know you are not...But if they change their mind, then "Bye"...And not all the "rules" are written, I can give some examples, if you don't believe me.

I know because I did that in the past. And they locked my acc and asked for explanation. I did explain, but with a lot of lies, drama...:f_biggrin:..They don't want your money. I mean, they don't want to take all your money "unfair", they just want a small fee for your play. They don't want to lie to you. They just want to defend themselves against the bonus hunters. I mean , if you do this things, the problems are very possible...
