Yes, it is an obvious fold, but...

Under what circumstances do you call on this flop?
PokerStars - $0.25 Ante $0.03 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: $22.22
SB: $14.25
Hero (BB): $33.76
UTG: $26.64
MP: $22.50
CO: $34.40

6 players post ante of $0.03, SB posts SB $0.10, Hero posts BB $0.25

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.53) Hero has A♦:9♦:

fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to $0.50, SB calls $0.40, Hero raises to $2.25, BTN calls $1.75, SB calls $1.75

Flop: ($6.93, 3 players) 5♣:5♦:5♠:
SB bets $3.31, fold, fold

SB wins $6.62
Rake paid $0.31

Some things are clear:
I call with any :5x:
I would probably also call with AA, KK or QQ -- or should these be a shove?

Just curious...

I think id just flat my over pairs i'm not sure if flatting say TT is better than AA with AA villain can have the worse over pairs where as with TT they can more likely have hands like JJ QQ that are ahead and you don't want to iso yourself against. So maybe AA KK is better to raise for that reason over hands like TT JJ.With A9s i think giving up on the flop is ok as your backdoor equity with the fd is pretty much 0 and you might be drawing pretty thin to only the A vs hands like TT JJ QQ.

Probably just flatting pre with A6s-A9s. They lack the postflop playability vs the obvious ATs+ and A5s-A2s. Squeeze is not horrible by any means I just prefer the ones that can flop better and we can continue more often with (SD's to go along with out FD's/Two Pair/Trips flops.

Not much we can do here vs a broken 60% stacked SB besides x/f with BTN behind left to act. SPR is already under 2 (with the SB aggressor) so there is no maneuverability really in this spot.

As far as your range goes, my estimation would be something like TT+, AQs, AKs, AKo, A5s/A4s and A9s as a randomizer isn't the end of the world to squeeze with. Vs. a donk bet, I am just getting it in with any pair less than AA. Presence of the BTN complicates things a bit here but it is difficult to put him on anything strong. I am basically indifferent to what they do when we jam TT+ here.
