I wanted to get some opinions on this.

I appreciate the variance will be greater on tourneys due to the field, but what would you say would be best to a) get better quicker b) build a bankroll between SNG's and Tourneys?

Do the quality of the players on the SNG's tend to be better? As in are a larger proportion of the say 9 regs of a higher calibre that say a 180 man tourney?

I'm sure there a pro's and cons to both....

Single-Table SNGs either 9-man or 6-man have been studied extensively, and there is a lot of material here on PokerStrategy.com about those formats.
Look through the strategy articles or videos to see what I mean.

Low buy-in tournaments offer a better reward, but the variance is higher.
It takes a fair amount of time playing them to get a few wins.

A good compromise is multi-table SNGs -- like the 45-player or 180-player SNGs on Stars...

Best of luck :gl:,

Vorpal my man! Thanks again.

Yeah I like the 45/180's myself. When I start my challenge after a bit more study I'll be all over them, and have a go on the larger fielded tourneys on a Saturday night or something.

Thanks as always!!
