Hi marvyndo,
Welcome to PokerStrategy.com :welcome:

It depends on how you look at it.
In terms of $/hour the pay rate is very low.

In terms of return-on-investment, though, the return is infinite.

I play several freerolls each day on 888 -- which is by far the best site for freerolls IMO
But I do other things while the tournament is running -- things like organizing my stream, watching streamers on twitch, answering PokerStrategy.com forum posts and so on, so the time isn't wasted.

When I run deep, though I'll stop the side stuff and concentrate.

Is it profitable?
Check out my 888 bankroll recovery thread and judge for yourself...

Cheers,
VS

For sure, but that's most likely the case for every tournament. :f_wink:
In the end a freeroll you don't invest any money. Than you should happy with any paid out in the end.

Quite true.
When I play freerolls, I'm usually playing other tables also — or answering forum posts or a whole host of other things.
