Not the greatest hand from UTG but it does still fall into top 20% and QJJ7sss would be out of it. MP was pretty aggro and capable of making moves. Quite loose like maybe 35/25 style but seemed kind of reggy. So did moves with sensible combos from what I had seen.

I only have river spot but will explain how I got there. So I open, MP, BU and BB call. I cbet 3/4 pot and MP call. I check turn completing KQ and T8 and MP bets around 3/4 pot. I have some outs to full house but I think counting 8 is optimistic because if villain had straight I think there is fair amount of chance he has some form of pair as well.

Also considering I did cbet 4way on flop implied odds will be very low imo. But at same time I unblock diamonds and have 8 to block low straight. I would assume villain to bet both straights on turn.

So I was thinking in game there is two options:

1: I fold turn
2: I call turn and hero call blank rivers. So bad cards would be non pairing diamond, K and 8 as those would then complete some Tx combos that could semibluffing turn.

So according to that plan I called turn, got total blank river and hero called river. This hand also made me ask what type of blockers are most valuable in this spot when we hero call? TT obviously block straight maximally but it does also block most likely bluffs. This thinking created question if KK, K8 or 88 type blockers with reasonable made hand value actually makes better bluff catcher than having TT?

Not really a PLO player, as you know, but the Tens and Fives are pretty much the best blockers.
Since the Ts are out there, the Ks get promoted, but you don't have those either.

TT is the best blocker as it will remove most of the straight combos, way more than KK or 88, especially as people won't call a lot of T8-combos OTF. So, TT>KK>K8>88 here. Not having Ad is also very good as a lot of his flopcallingrange will be nutflushdraws

If I place myself in villain shoes I would aim to bluff with straight blocker holdings and especially for river bluff I would not want to have Ad. Though maybe this is also questionable way as in these games if aggressor check turn they rarely have straight anyway. So maybe for bluffing its more important to have Q to block top set and two pair combos though having T doesnt hurt either.
