So we have had aggro dynamic with this guy on 3bet and 4bet stuff. On other table I 4bet KK98ds bit earlier and villain 5bet shoved with KQJ9ds I think. We were bit over 100bb deep.

This hand we are around 160bb deep. I open SB, BB 3bet and I decided to 4bet with plan to continue versus 5bet. Flop I hit hugely but I thought this is pretty decent hand to slowplay. Though maybe I should have bd fd as well to do it? Plan was to x-r but flop goes checked.

Turn I decided to delayed cbet half pot which could look somewhat weak for villain. 2 is unlikely to improve villain hand outside of giving fd or maybe some rare straight draw. Plan was to snap villain shove.

If villain call turn and diamond complete I think it would be interesting spot to check to induce bluffs. Heart on river I would just x-f. Pairing one would be more about check-call probably if its not heart. Card like T would be awkward imo.

Anyway any opinion on this line? I think with aggro dynamics preflop 4bet is fine though as default versus unknown I would just call this deep. How about flop and turn?

Did you have reads how aggressive he is postflop?

I think you have grounds to go for check on this flop. It is highly suspicious to me and I would definately not take light stabs as villian here, but you just smash the board and block pretty much everything villain can continue with. Maybe if he is steaming he might think stabbing is the only way to win with some total miss and end up in troubles.

Turn I think you had reads about his postflop aggression, he is repping only a draw that picked up some equity so I dont think shoving against half pot accomolishes nothing but taking his positional advantage away.

So against him this was good inducer, normally I would bet larger as opponent will continue if he has something decent now like heartw and just fold even against half pot if he doesnt.

Yeah he had been aggro overall. Of course this being 4bet pot with decently high SPR it's not common situation. But I thought if I have like dry AAxx here I think potting and stacking off is questionable. KJ should hit BB 3bet range quite strong though as said in other hand this guy was 3bet happy.

He had QTT8hh so seemed like pretty unnecessary 3bet in first place.

I am always cautious in PLO when someone wants to "slowplay" a single pair.
Especially if I already know that villain is capable of making terrible plays like 5betting KQJ9ds without FE on PLO25 I have to assume that he isn't necessarily aware of ranges/equity distribution and that stuff. So, balancing ideas like "I need to protect my bare AA by checking this" are misapplied here imo. It is a reasonable idea to think about that but it should very rarely be applied on the micros

There are so many draws here that support the pair. If opponent is aggro, this is a good hand to let them bet I think

Yeah my standard would be cbet and tough to say how this opponent is approaching this spot as its 4bet pot. So perhaps just betting out would be best. I think we want to use half pot with this hand to give impression of fold equity and keep villain range wider.

I dont think this board is that bad for 4b range. Hero should not 4b crappy aces deep out of position in blinds. So standard would be a bet indeed.

I also dont think hero needs to balance his play at these levels.

But here, against aggro opponent and with this stong hand that dont even mind giving a free card I think checking flop is fine play. It's about exploiting this opponent as much as possible.
