Why so many Japanese players

I have no idea.
Is this a new thing?

I rarely see Japanese players at the games I play -- which don't include NLHE SnGs

I have noticed a few Japanese resident players lately. Two were playing on my table which is a very rare occurrence and it did peek my curiosity somewhat. But I didn't notice anything suspicious about their game play other than they were really bad players. But not as bad as Canadians.:f_tongue:

There is nothing suspicious, just that they are a big bunch. Nitty bunch to be exact, rarely fishy.
Even now at 18:00 CEST they are the second largest group at NL5 and NL10 Zoom after the Russians.

I played a hundred or so hands of NLHE zoom yesterday and didn't notice.
Maybe that's just me not noticing...

Hahaha - you're at least the second person on here that's called out how bad we Canadians are at Poker...

I played a few hundred hands of NL5 zoom on PokerStars today.
At the time I was playing, there were more Argentinian, Brazilian, and Canadian players than Japanese.
The Russians though far outnumbered all of them.

Perhaps it is a time of day thing -- I was playing at about 23:00 GMT

23:00 GMT is really early morning for Japan. Try 12:00-18:00 GMT
