Played the deal and won 500 star coins, is this rare? I feel like I night have gotten lucky or something. What would you do with them? Should I save them and do the deal once every while trying to get a payout from the jackpot?

For me it is very rare.
The only thing you can do with coins lately is play the deal.
it is over 100K now, so playing it every twelve hours will shortly net you 5-7 bucks.
This usually works out to around 7 cents per coin which is way better than any other option.
