No reads on villain. CO open, I 3bet BU with perfect single suit rundown. Flop I hit mid pair, double gs and fd blocker so I could just bet and stack off I suppose but I probably dont do that well versus villain stack off range. If I had flush draw as well it would probably make sense to cbet as then all components combined hand becomes lot stronger.

Turn pairs board and give me trips. Villain pots. So I was bit torn here between call and shove. In a way that there are lot of draws that I dont mind to get protection and value from but at same time villain reps to have 7x+ for value. Also I do block/cover good amount of those draws and their outs. So it felt more reasonable to just call and see river. My plan was to really call good amount of non diamond rivers.

River was really best one outside of ones improving my hand so easy call. Way too high in my range to ever fold range wise.

But yeah I think preflop is standard. I dont 3bet that many these singlesuit rundowns but this was perfectly connected. Flop seems reasonable now after thinking it through. Hand is imo nice check as it cover good amount of turns my check back range is mostly not too happy to see. Turn it feels like when villain pots he probably has something to stack off with versus raise most of time anyway and if we do get equity to fold it would not be that bad. If I am beat I lose big pot anyway decent amount of time calling river. You could think of balancing call range to have some trips also though that is not most relevant.

I think it's pretty clear opponent has something here on the turn when he pots it, rarely there is a villain that has stone cold pure airballoon bluff with zero equity here. Maybe it's FD, maybe it's gutter, maybe a jack.

The question would be what happens if he does not improve river? Will he bluff the rest or will he give up? And what if he has J and bluffs a diamond? I would get it in here on the turn, unless villain is capable of having totally nothing.

Why not 44, JJ?

Well of course villain can have better made hands also but having 7 is blocking those fair amount and it's definitely close to top of my range.

Some JT9 type could very well pot turn imo to put max pressure to overpairs. It's really nasty spot with overpairs imo. Does villain try to bluff river is tough to know.
