I have moved your hand to our tournament hand discussion board. There fits it better.

I would most likely just 3bet around 80k and her-evaluate on further action.
As played I would call as well for 32bb effective. I can't see if there are antes in play, but in most tournaments it will be the case and without counting ICM this seems like a standard stack of.

Cheers,

Hi skovalick813,
Welcome to PokerStrategy.com :welcome:

This would be a very tight fold I think.
You cover all players in the pot, so even if you lose you still have a decent stack.

You cover the open raiser (HJ) by quite a bit, so I definitely agree with SDK1987 that a pre-flop raise in the correct play.
The idea is to isolate that player and get heads-up.

As it turns out, you end up heads up against an even shorter stack, so it worked out.

I'm curious about what others think, though.

Oh sorry didn't see that section. But yeah I think I definitely should have been 3-betting here, was definitely a mistake not doing so. I just also thought folding after the jam would've been very nitty here given the stack sizes.

Hi!

In position we want to 3bet with the strong hands useing around a 3x sizing. We want to get heads up and cbet a lot in the good flops and we no need to get hit by the flop. We just win with the positional advantage and pure agression! ;)
