Short deck road to NL 1000 - grinding , challenges & more

I will start this challenge on NL10 and go to NL25 when we reach 1000$ of profit in total.

There is a channel on yt that gives some tips for 6+ and they advice on 200+ BIs BR. Is that too nitty in your experience?
I guess the cool thing about this game is that you get to have a style. So, are you limping a lot or mostly raise?
Do you like multiway pots? Do you like shoving a ton preflop? Do you follow some preflop strategy or are you more of a "feel" player?
How do you not get discouraged when you go card dead for a prolonged time and get ante'd away?
Have you tried 6+ tournaments?

Yeah, a lot of action in this game (maybe even too much) but it is really fun to play!

I play mostly 100bb deep, trying to avoid deep stacks. Basic strategy in 6+ is to limp from EP but closer you get to the BTN you should try to polarize your range with limps and also 10x opening because of ante (actually just like in NLH). Also you should push a lot of hands after opens expecially from LP. I was studying game a lot with orange calculator, I have some opening and limping charts and trying to keep this strategy with some exploit plays. Tbh i do not have any problems with my mindset, in this game equity is running really close and I am aware of that. Tournaments are definetely profitable but there is huuuuge variation + small amount of them.

I did actually play it for a while.
The first day I played a won some kind of bounty with a flush — maybe a straight flush (I don't remember)
Overall though, I was a bit lost as to what hands to play, and how to play them

Good luck, i'm also a SD player and am thinking of starting a blog to promote it. It is just a really cool game as supposed to NL holdem.

I now have a decent bankroll on GGPoker, so I'll let it build up a bit more, while studying short-deck, then take a couple of shots playing NL 5 if it exists, or similar if not

I'm a mixed games player - not sure if short deck Hold'em would also qualify as a "mixed game", but either way, the game always looked intriguing to me. I only tried it a few times, shipped a $5.50 MTT on Pokerstars once, but in general, I'm pretty clueless about strategy, I think.

It is NL10 for now.

I have been thinking of ranges and I've so far got a UTG range — it seems pretty loose to me though...
Also, I see a huge number of limpers, as well as a huge number of open-shovers.
Is this normal?

I can't edit your link but basically from UTG and UTG+1 you should only limp, you can open hands from LP but still basic strategy in this game is to limp. If you want to open or iso raise- sizing should be around 10x. Range is way to tight- 98o, J9o, 108o, Q10o,K10o you should limp for sure, your suited range looks a little bit better but even limping 107s is not a huge mistake, 97s for sure, J9s, Q9s (maybe even Q8s). I am limping very wide even from UTG. I don't know where you play short deck cause on GG tables are 5 handed and on stars 6 handed but even on 6 max these hands are still really decent.
