I'd expect if he bets the flop he goes broke happily. Not sure if you want to get it in with a naked FD. Your A-out is most likely dead as well.

well i need like 33% @ spr1 - i should have that for sure.
not sure if its appropriate to say spr1 when he bets pot or better to say spr2 based on stacks coming to the flop in that scenario?
then i would need 40% which on avg i will also have here.

It's spr 2. No reason to raise on the flop because you are always behind. Sometimes by just calling you get a free river and save couple of blinds there.

hmm goes both ways right? if i call, turn is my flush he may safe himself the remaining bbs, assuming he has AAxx or KKxx without backup a spade turn he can pretty much let go if i call potsize flop.

Nasty flop, as SPR is a bit under 2. Not sure about the exact required equity as hand history doesn't show pot size. But if I look right, we have 1,84 effective stacks and total pot would be 4,76. That would be 38-39% equity. And versus his range we have it. Calling doesn't achieve much, just raise and get it in.

Pre is fine with perfect low card connectivity. I would fold flop. SPR always refers to stack to pot ratio at start of the street before any betting. What did you use to get those equities? Just checked some with propokertools:

Remember that he can have a lot more than just AA or 98. He probably shoves any flush draw, overpairs (with something or not), 2 pairs etc. 98xx is the only part that we don't have the required equity. Close, but in my experience with low SPR average Joe shoves there way wider range.

Yeah I suppose we have just enough equity. Having 654 component give some bd sd equity which helps. Like A254 with nfd would still be fold imo.

i am not sure now, maybe i played around and did not change a card back to what it should be.
just put it in again and it indeed differs - not sure which card i changed without putting it back to the correct one ^^

but overall diffrences are small enough to still have on avg enough equity here i think. especially vs quite lose / aggro villain.
Anyhow very nice catch, makes the whole situation much closer.
