[PLO2] 2nd nut straight on flop + fd + stf gutter -hero?

I like 3bet versus open raiser but with caller I would just call preflop. Reason being we tend to have very little fe. Especially with fishy HJ as when he calls then BU will almost always overcall. Then we get into multiway bloated pot with hand that is not that greatly suited for it.

Flop I would just x-c likely.

Even with the straight flush re-draw?
Is this a x/c to trap, or is it because the flush draw is weak?

Well hero says that BU is on solid side. So issue is if we cbet and BU raises I would not be happy about it. I think we have to stack off if BU raises but what type of range is likely to do it with SPR 6? Q9 is the most obvious one. Then some combo draw type hands like sd+fd, set+support or top 2+fd. We are probably sort of ok spot even if getting allin on flop but its not like we are printing money versus solid stack off range.

So I would approach flop as having medium strong hand. Its also pretty nice hand to bet on blank turns big if flop goes checked. Other side of coin is that if we cbet and get called there are lot of turns we are not happy about. So do we necessarily want to build pot with that in mind?

yep exactly for these reasons went with the check aswell and then this happend ....

send me in the tank for my whole timebank and still don't know what is the way to go here. HJ with his 1/4 sizing kinda felt ok to ignore but BTN goin so big put fear into me.... ^^

Well its either shove or fold. I would still shove but not loving it. But if we compare this scenario into one where we cbet and BU raises I do like this more in a way. Reasoning being that from BU view he assumes hero to fold almost always and HJ bet is weak looking. If HJ bet big and BU raises I would probably lean toward fold then. Interesting hand.

Overall this situation goes back to preflop though. These are exactly kind of spots I want to avoid with not squeezing versus two preflop

ye had to wrestle with myself but glad to see i came to the same conclusion ^^ when he raises there i also think he has lots of incentive to do so with blockers etc and "absolute" nuts, like AcKQc9 should still be just calling to not get all weaker hands to fold. vs this small bet from HJ maybe a bit dicy assumption, but i think even if raising this hand would probably go at least for a smaller sizing quite often which would have made my decision basically harder.
Its not many ppl on plo2 that you can give this train of thought, but he actually maybe one of those, as the outcome shows aswell (i think he played the hand really well).
