1. I missed the preflop raise here. I can’t see any flop and turn possibilities other than betting out. I thought a straight on the river very possible, any 5 or T hits, so check called.

2. UTG+1 raises preflop but doesn’t cap, possible hands including TT, JJ, AQ, AJs, but probably not AA or AK, so this flop is not ideal for me. I bet into it and called the raise here, and the player behind won’t go away either. The turn is even worse, so what are my odds here? The pot is probably too big to fold, I'm getting 11-1 on the turn, would you agree? I think a c/r would be dangerous here. I want to see a showdown, and a 3 bet would be a disaster. The river is a blank, so I have to call this as well.

3. This is very passive play, but the final pot is greater than it may have been had I raised the flop. No way to know for sure. I have the best hand most of the time I think, but since he leads to the river, the calldown is maybe the best way for value here? It would be a bit skanky, but maybe raise the river?

1)its close between preflop raise or call, but maybe raise. i would bet the river too. With what would they have called you, surely not a backdoor straight draw?( wich is a gutshot evencialy), pair of 9's rag A's or low pair so i think bet all the streets for value

2) i think its well played he could have been on a flush draw too

check/call here is the best way on the river against 3 opponents.

You don't want to fold here for just one bet, perhaps you also get a little value out of bluff induce but i wouldn't fold that hand.

Of course you can fold against bet and a raise from the SB.

3bet Flop here. It is something i am telling here on these boards over and over again.

Important: Play your made hands out of position aggressive on the flop.

The board is draw heavy and often enough people will make a freecard raise here. So 3bet flop and bet turn and calldown against a raise on the turn.

Thanks guys. I am getting more comfortable with reading possibilities now.

1. Going on the SHC here JP, I should have raised as first in from MP as my A8 was suited. It may have knocked a few out, and protected my hand better. I looked at the river, and saw 8 outs to beat my strong hand. OK, that is still 5-1, but 3 people were staying in against me, and a T is a card that a lot of limpers will stay with, particularly if it is connected. I will reveal that SB was on 55, giving him bottom straight, and BU was on T9s, giving him top straight. An early raise here may have knocked out one or both of these guys, depending on how they play their hands. Allowing them to limp in with their weaker hands meant giving them a chance they shouldn't have had. SB should have folded post flop, but BU may have thought his nines was the best hand, and he has possible top pair with a 5 outer to improve postflop, and even though he is done on the turn, he doesn't know that, and thinks he has nine outs now, and now I will never get rid of him. In fact he had 6 clean outs, and any nine or seven wins for him.

2. Yes again Stefan. I will get this message eventually. I too often see this kind of flop after the preflop action, and I feel a sinking feeling in my stomach. I assume the worst almost always. I must break this habit. A pair of Tens on board makes it less likely that anyone is holding one, not impossible by any means. Lots of draws as you point out, but my hand is still favourite to be best at this point, I must protect it aggressively!! Make them pay to draw out on me, and pay off big when I survive! For the record, I did survive. One had JJ the other Q9, so they hurt each other. And I hurt myself by not building this pot early, and could have cost myself the whole thing by allowing the cheaper draws.

3. When you say nice one Stefan, nice one to calldown, or nice one to raise the river?
