BB: 107.12 BB
UTG: 106.2 BB
Hero (MP): 102.12 BB
CO: 271.08 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has J♣ A♣

UTG raises to 2 BB, Hero raises to 7.4 BB, fold, fold, fold, fold, UTG raises to 16.4 BB, Hero calls 9 BB

Flop: (34.2 BB, 2 players) 9♣ 7♣ K♥
UTG checks, Hero checks

Turn: (34.2 BB, 2 players) 3♦
UTG checks, Hero checks

River: (34.2 BB, 2 players) J♦
UTG bets 24.52 BB, Hero ? ?

Preflop, I'd rather 3bet it, if I'm gonna play AJs, but I guess flatting is okay too. Should you always play AJs on HJ is an interesting question.

I opted to check/back flop because getting CRAI by something like AA/AK/KK would be very sick.

Turn, I rather take the free card again.

River, is a gross spot because this could be AA/KK/JJ/AK/bluff.

Thoughts?

Preflop i like the 3bet from mp with AJs on the btn maybe mix in some calls but vs the 4bet id fold pre 100bb deep. If 2bb is villains standard open size then i see no reason to think they are 4betting extra light or getting to out of line. Postflop as played i likely probe bet on the turn. Or as played sigh call river i guess. although i cant think of many bluffs you beat that play the flop and turn this way , Kind of feels like villain has JJ . Although i guess AA KK is possible albeit strangely played and missing value with those hands.

Fold pre.
Checking flops ok. But I'd bet turn for 25% / 1/3. You want stacks in by river and you have fold equity v QQ/JJ/AQ.

As played you should call river. He can do this with anything. If he has you he has you but I don't think this is a fold after the action on flop+turn.

Fold to preflop 4B. He would 4B handy like AA, KK, sometime AKs, other hands he could call to 3B.

On the river you have to fold, if he preflop 4B hand AAor KK he is better. With KK he tried to catch your bet on the F and T.

I would consider to bet as semi bluff on the flop and as played on the turn of around half pot. It looks like villain doesn't like this board until the river. Offcourse if you face a raise you need to fold.

River is tricky, but with a bluff catcher I wouldn't mind the call against a unknown.

Cheers,
