BB is 17/13/af4.0/3B:7, 75 hands

PokerStars - $1 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 73.48 BB
SB: 130.66 BB
BB: 190.32 BB
UTG: 166.01 BB
Hero (MP): 186.7 BB
CO: 126.67 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K♦ K♣

fold, Hero raises to 2 BB, fold, BTN calls 2 BB, SB raises to 11 BB, BB raises to 25 BB, Hero calls 23 BB, fold, fold

Flop: (63 BB, 2 players) 3♣ 8♣ 3♦
BB bets 20 BB, Hero calls 20 BB

Turn: (103 BB, 2 players) 4♠
BB bets 41 BB, Hero calls 41 BB

River: (185 BB, 2 players) 8♦
BB bets 104.32 BB and is all-in, Hero ? ?

The villain is repping AA here, like, he will show up with AA a lot at SD.

OTOH, AK/AQ repping AA is not impossible.

Occasionally, he will SD QQ/JJ.

Thoughts?

It's actually more like 200BB ESS because there is a 13BB worth of dead money in the pot before we take flop so it's 186.7 + 13 = 199.7 BB up for grab between me and the villain.

Edit: I added more info

Board is bone dry and i doubt QQ is taking this line. 100BB shove, I'm finding a fold. You also block AKc which is the only bluff here.

I would most likely shove pre-flop. Offcourse villain could have AA, but 6 handed I would only play it differently with decent reads on the villain in this hand.

Cheers,

As played, I'm just gonna assume that you are not folding on river.

17/13 is an uber-nit?
In fast-fold this is close to optimal

This is deep too — facing a cold 4-Bet I think 5-Bet is the way to go.
At 150 BB deep or less I would shove pre.
6 combos of AA beat us — I don't see 8s or 3s being a large part of a range that would play this way pre-flop.

anyone consider raising the flop or the turn?

Deep I would play the same and call the river.
I wouldn't raise though.

That's exactly right, our range(or KK) is somewhat disguised, so we want him to keep firing.

Please do not click on the spoiler below:

(Pre 28%, Flop 12%, Turn 7%)
Hero shows K♦ K♣ (Two Pair, Kings and Eights)
(Pre 72%, Flop 88%, Turn 93%)
Hero wins 383.9 BB
We don't wanna raise anywhere for this reason.

You can't raise the river. Villain shoves here.

Seems alright indeed. Tough for villian to hit this board in a 4bet pot.

Disguised? xD Not really. What are you cold calling to 4bets? Something else than KK+? When I see regular cold calling 4bet then I'm check/folding QQ and I dont think i'm making blunder there

As for hand - I would just click 5bet to 50bb and see how it develops.

I've seen this one hand at NL100 Zoom, quite similar, 4bet pot, basically the same action, except at 250BBESS, on a flat board like mine, the guy barreled off w/ AQo and the other dude called it off w/ AKs, and the AK high won. lol

In deep stack situations, 4bet flatting range becomes a bit wider, imo. Where I could realistically have range like JJ/TT/99.

A 50bb 5bet looks extremely suspicious with the current stack dynamic. Shoving looks weaker and you invest more than 1/3 of your stack with 5 betting.

According to GTOWizard you should cold call @ 200bb deep 7,5% QQ, 3,5% JJ and 1% on less on other pockets for nl500 rake. On nl50 rake 4% QQ, 1,5% JJ. That is plan against GTO reg, not uber nit who is almost certainly not cold 4betting enough. In theory you may develop calling range but in practice its impossible to do it correctly.

Hey, thanks for solving it. I don't have the deep version so that's enlightening. I wonder if the villain knew that, and was actually trying to fold out KK on river. That's interesting.

No, the question he is alluding to was asked by VorpalF2F, and the question was if we should raise on flop or turn.

More likely he was randomly clicking buttons. Trying to fold strong overpair postflop will never print money.

Preflop go all-in or 5B to 65bb.
River not fold, call it. If he had AA, why would not check - rise you?
