Villain is kind of ABC reg. Not usually seeing big bluffs or big hero calls. Flop is probably really close. Any weaker I would fold but is this bit too strong to fold?

On turn I think I have two options. Bet-fold or check and try to hit straight for free. Probably just check any river then? I kind of like half potting here as that allow some bet-folds with reasonable price. Plus keep river SPR bit higher in case we want to bluff. But yeah it does give good pot odds for JJ, AA sort of holdings.

River SPR is bit below 0.5

Actually the more I think about flop more I like folding. There is quite a bit of domination issues going on. So I think we would need bit more versus pot bet.

think very clear fold at the flop
as played might be ok to keep up your story and we unblock hands which can check/call once but then give up.
but the important is definitely to fold flop imo and also if the guy is capable of trapping strong hands, we better stay away from trying to float with medium/weak ish future blockers, just as small side note

Yeah flop was blunder. I suppose with like QT98 we can call.

yepp wraps >> oesds
Q98 already without pocket pair or 7, blocking outs, would be almost always calling and with flush draw get it in

As said, fold flop.

Turn, bet bigger if you want to start barrel bluff (or you had the flush). Half a pot is a problematic sizing as if he has AA that bet doesn't generate a lot of profits for you (he has almost the equity to call).

Do we focus too much only to specific part of villain range by that argument? Of course sets and flushes are main part to continue versus turn bet but perhaps we can get straight or some two pairs to continue sometimes with smaller sizing?

would think so too. with betting big we would narrow down the range too much and keep enough leverage at the river. 50% at the turn would already fold out quite a lot as straight and flushes come in and we don't want to make fold almost everything

vs Turn check solver favors 1/4 sizing (about 30% of times) and the few pots (5% of times). Personally without reads at low stakes I would think that it's WAY more common for players to call too much than fold too much. Therefore I would always (without reads/notes) bet bigger on the turn. Half a pot doesn't really generate a lot of FE versus most players. I am sure quite many of you have seen people calling 2/3 bets on flushing turns with 2 pairs, straights and even worse. For that reason I would use 2/3 or more for valuebets, and if I am planning to make double barrel bluff then that sizing for the turn too. It generates a bit more FE imo.

If we want to start using small sizing vs known player, I would start to think about having 2 sizings as solver does. One small and one big. If I have to use just one, it would be big. Especially here where turn hits his 3betting range really hard.
