MP was pretty actively raising and seemed like solid player. MP open and I defended pre. Very close defend though. In solver -0.99bb

Flop goes checked. Are you just x-f in general versus cbet? In trainer versus 1/3 pot cbet this is marginal call but often people use bigger sizing when betting so personally I tend to just x-f.

Anyway when turn pairs I thought to bet 3/4 pot and rep a boat/high flush. Villain call and river is sort of bad card as boats are not less likely. But I still do have that 9 so went with it. I think my hand make good amount of sense as we have some nutted equity with 77 and 9 has some blocker value. Though I suppose 99 probably cbet more often than not on flop.

Pre-call a little marginal for my taste but if you know your opponent or how to do the BB defense in general with this hand it´s totally fine, I guess GTO call aswell.

Flop is a perect one to lead. We block a spade, top-pair and straightdraws. Additionally afaik we can donk more on static textures in general but that should not be great news. At rush pool nutpeddlers fold anything but flushes or sets so we have a nice insta autoprofit exploit. Against those I do lots of probing with pair+flush-blocker to start with.

After checking I guess we can only fold since x/r is quite speculative (I´d never do it vs unknown) and depends on villain how nitty he is and if he c-bet/folds at least a reasonable frequency. Check-calling out of question obv.

Play it the same ott but check-fold otr without more details about opponents´ player type.

I won't have any leading range on flop like this. At least versus tight range main issue is villain has big polarity advantage from having more high suited combos. Versus BU it could be more of a thing theory wise as well.

But yeah leading some of these type of hands that block fair amount of stuff but are not happy facing cbet could still be exploitatively fine.

For river bluff I suppose ideal combo would be 9x with high flush blocker. I think for this spot Q♠: or K♠: would have best value as very few will ever check back nut flush on flop.

Yes he has polarity advantage which means nutflush basically. Here at GG rush tables among 200 players are like 75%+ nits waiting for the nutflush trying to get 3-bets in with it. Just do not pay them. The rest of players with brain are like 4-5 solid regulars over the whole day that might one day defend this spot but still not even coming close to GTO. Those nits just overfold so much especially flops so stabbing all kinds of shifts (also preflop/flop) is just natural exploit imo. On regular tables dynamics might be little different ofc but those stabs still can make sense against many players.

If you bet like 33% pot villain needs to call - if there is no (bluff-) raising range which most people do not have either- basically 80% (!) min-def. Hand-reading, positional awareness, selecting blockers etc.. is fine and necessary but at the end of the day Poker is still a game of (Pot-) Odds rather than anything else. Someone offers you a price, either it is cheap enough to buy it or not. And vice versa we try to disguise that price. Like is it worth buying the fish for 9 bucks if you can sell it for 10? Yes it is. We can surely agree most people without flush or set do not continue, you rarely see a VPIP 25- player continuing sth like naked pair+straightdraw, I´d say they defend around 30% max. of there range. This gap is a huge one and adds up to your winrate over time. Such moves ofc require disciplined check-folds later on as we´d bet a single-street for autoprofit:

Monotone flops are rare too so it is hard for someone to catch up on that. If you flip your range around and bet everything except for most flushes, nutflushes, some of few of the 2-card nutflushes (we rather lead the three-card nut-flushes but all three-card flushes in general to protect against set because of blocking villains flushes), some nutblockers, 2pairs and sets you´d betting like 60%+ of your range bb flatting range for autoprofit :roto2: :profit:

....whereas GTo just as few as 7%. You can return to normal GTo play if players ip start bluff raising or calling worse hands than flush otf. Just a normal cycle of adjustment and counter-adjustment. But who is "counter-adjusting" correctly all kinds of small spots like this one at PLO50? I think like 0,1% of players.

solver is leading on plo 50 with 3,5%. 77 around 7%, nothing is a pure lead and always starts around 66% freq, our hand combinations around 12%. this feels like the opposite of a perfect spot to lead.
polarity advantage doesn't only mean nutflush advantage and also consists of playability advantage and has the better holdings to make things tough for us oop.
villain has 27% A♠: or K♠: in has ranfge f.e. we have 20, A we 10, villain 16. maybe this works in special cases against very tight players etc. but for example they also check back too much on the flop and we can get them off later and also we still have good equity in checked pot.

turn would check again as the 2 not change that much or bet smaller at least. as played i think river is fine

I know solver calls its flush blockers on monotone boards. But usually regulars on PLO50 do not even call a A♠ or K♠ or at least I did not meet anybody yet who does. As I said we have to adapt against bluff-raises but they are rare too. With autoprofit we do not need playability as we are done with our hand once villain calls.
