I've seen this happen a few times, but never an explanation.
If they cancelled then you should get the ticket back — but it might take a day or so.
If you don't see it tomorrow, talk to their support staff.

If the ticket is only valit for a specific tournament you get maybe T-money for it.
You can always talkt to PokerStars support about this.
