Squeeze preflop against such a wide ranges. You will be good most of the time. As played V shows a lot strenght so you should raise OTF. Dont like the idea to give cheap card on coordinated flop like this with a player behind. You are against a rec players so you might be called with wider range of hands.

All in all. Enough with playing tricky big hands specially against rec players. Play in straight forward manner most of time. How do you expect to win when you play like this? You want to build a pot. You should start from the flop. You have very strong hand but you are not invincible. If you had full house then you could play like this

I strongly suggest you to stop playing when you are tilted. You play very poorly.

Have you read The Mental Game of Poker by Jared Tendler?
One of the things that the book teaches to help deal with this is called "The Mental Hand History" — you examine yourself at the end of each hand, and analyse not the hand, but yourself. Once you've identified tilt — YOU QUIT.

The book goes into great detail, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The first several pages of my blog are about my journey through that book.

Those regs has fishy stats, but I wouldn't mind to play for set value out of position. I expect you only making the pot bigger without to much fold equity. Flop I would try to get it in with a 3x raise.

Cheers,

This is one of those books I love to tell other poker players I've read but in fact I haven't

At this stage it won't help, I am tilted because of my moms failing health, there is nothing that can be done. I play poker to keep my mind off that, but sometimes it comes with me to the tables. I'll save that book for a time when I can take all the lessons and apply it with a clear mind. Until that time, hands like these will pop up from time to time.

Sorry to hear that. Hope your mother strenghten up and be okay. But that's life. That's poker. You should be able to withstand that kind pressure. Future wont be any easier. It will be the opposite. It's good to see that you are not giving up. Keep pushing over and over. This will pay you off. You will grow. Pain and growth go hand in hand.

Here is some motivation. Focus all your inner strenght so you make decent profit. Then withdrawl and buy something to your mom... With your poker winnings!

Thanks for the kind words, but unfortunately, she won't get better. I'm just trying to make it as comfortable as I can while she makes her way to her final table.

But that's life. That's poker.

True, if I can put her health over the last 10 years in poker terms it would be, she's had every bad beat Diabetes can give you and then some, AA cracked every single time.

I did do this, it's one part of the reason I am still donking around at 2nl, but she wasn't well enough to go with to get her present and she has to be there unfortunately.

Pain and growth go hand in hand.

Life + Poker = Joy & Pain

Poker has become a strange therapy for me, if you can call it that.

Anyways, to sum it all up.

I wait, and while I wait, I grind.
