Pretty Standard Until The River

no known players, no stats

PokerStars, Hold'em No Limit - $0.10/$0.25 - 6 players

UTG (Hero): $27.24 (109 bb)
MP: $20.68 (83 bb)
CO: $25.00 (100 bb)
BU: $8.82 (35 bb)
SB: $25.39 (102 bb)
BB: $25.00 (100 bb)

Pre-Flop: ($0.35) Hero is UTG with A♦:Q♦:
Hero raises to $0.60, 2 players fold, BTN calls $0.60, 2 players fold

Flop: ($1.55) K♦:A♣:2♦: (2 players)
Hero bets $0.59, BTN calls $0.59

Turn: ($2.73) 2♠: (2 players)
Hero bets $1.04, BTN calls $1.04

River: ($4.81) 2♥: (2 players)
Hero bets $2.39, BTN calls $2.39 <<< At this point, I thought I should shove, since BTN likely has Ax, in whick case we split, and we just pay more rake. On the other hand, if BTN has a deuce, I'm throwing money away. Would he call a shove with worse?

I dont think so. This will happen very rarely. Bigger bets (again shitty bets ). He seems to be fishy player. You might find call out of Kx hands or worse. You want to stack him till the river

You should just bet bigger flop and turn. His range is not elastic(mainly Ax which he will never fold). On river I would just shove and hope to sometimes get call from Kx. WIthout diamond I think check/call is worth to consider.

Good read, people — I got a call from Kx
Would he have called a shove? We'll never know. Some would, some wouldn't

A deuce would be really unlikely with 3 on this board. You split against any ace and AA or KK seems unlikely as well.
I would shove river for sure against a small stack

bet/bet/bet whatever but put the money in by river vs the shady stacked player.
