Dont like the idea to narrow V's range in this spot. WIthout reads I am gonna just call OTT and keep his range as wide as possible. Board is quite dry. Dont see many semi bluffs to consider such a raise. So you dont need much protection.

Yes, my raise on turn is quite merged. It was just a guess.

I don't see a reason to change top pair in to a bluff on the turn.
Only a draw you can beat and those hands should fold against you're shove.

So you merge raise and also dont care that you block flushdraws?
Its obviously misplay preflop, but postflop its decent bluffcatcher and I dont see any reason why not play it as one.

Like, I said, it was just a guess. Just because I have one Diamond doesn't mean that the opponent can't have flush draws, imo.

When you make play like this everything matters. Obviously I dont have solves with A8o in range but if we put this spot to Ruse(best web solver) on BU vs SB ranges then BU by shoving AJ offsuit has EV between -3.18 and +1.53 while AJ without Jd makes between +7.03 to +10.04. One mediocre blocker can make huge difference, especially if you go for very thin raise.
