No reads. Preflop is pretty standard. If we open raised late position it would be reasonable to 4bet but not from EP. My question is about flop. I would tend to call versus half pot and fold to full pot cbet. I think versus check my hand wants to just check. Maybe stabbing half pot if we had K♦: could be reasonable. Like if we get some pair+gs type hands to fold its awesome result.

If board run out same without flush completing would you turn hand into bluff on river?

I get ur preflop consideration here is opponent is raising vs utg-range and you have no reads on him. Or is it all-around spot? Do you balance your calling with type of of holdings meaning if villains are too aggressive post-flop in 3b pot oop, you let them hang themself with pair+ type of holdings (mostly in turns i think)? I mean you are blokking the AA and kings. Would that be a type of play you would make only with familiarity with opponents behaviour? Just trying to figure out is my own thinking here on the track.

The flop, I would fold to a big bet here too. It hits his range pretty hard. Against small cbet, your hands is pretty nice for floating besides you might actually hold the winner already. Pot bet would take the maneuvering room from you later on. Half pot would be very nice sizing making the spr 1,7ish on turn. What would be your bluff betsize fot the turn non-flush straight card if checked? If the turn was blank would proceed to calldown with your hand if villain barrels again?

I wouldn't stab the non-flush straight river if turn goes checked because he has often something and pot goes as 1bet so we are facing a probable bluffcatch. Also our hand just wons some times here. But if opponent opens the betting however.. Q or J would be great cards to bluff because we have a lot AKQds/AKJds/KKQ/KKJ-kombos in our range when the pot is checked to river. Boom and reload!

I would not be callinf against 83bb deep stack preflop. It's not like this hand flops very smoothly often.

Like here we flop TPTK no real backup and unlimited amount of bad turns possible. At least we're IP. If he bets I guess you're folding most bad turns and calling off low cards, or what would be the reasoning of calling flop? Bluffing him with KK blockers, hoping he gives up?

You say no reads but that cannot be true. Need to observe how often villains play hands, are they passive or aggressive and what kind of hands they show.

If this is his first hand I'm just 4 betting. If he has aces good for him, but most probably just gambling.

80bb shorty 3bets, no reads. I would hate calling, as most of the times we have that overpair or TPTK on Axx flop. The thing is, if we think his range is AA heavy, we fold preflop. If we think its wider, we 4bet preflop. This seems like preflop we dont believe in AA, but postflop we do (if we start folding). We block AA, and I am quite sure that the average 3bet hand in the player pool is something else than AA quite often.

edit. Solver loves just a call preflop even with 50bb stacks. But that is probably due the fact that blinds 3bet range vs UTG should be really AA heavy. I mean solver folds on this flop to 33% bet, 50bb deep vs SB 4bet (didnt have UTG vs BB).

Well yeah versus 80bb unknown 4bet could be best. About reads I had played like two orbits on this table and had not notice anything clearly bad really. I think villain had only played few hands but with very limited sample it's basically unknown villain spot without showdown info or some extreme activity.

Flop I would fold versus half pot also without bdfd. Not sure if that is good reasoning though. I don't think call flop and fold good amount of turns is necessarily bad because lot of people will cbet A high flops very wide (which is correct most of time) and then that wide sort of range has to slowdown somewhat. As our call range is fairly strong. This kind of hand being very bottom of that range basically.

But yeah on average we face AA too often in EPvsBB spot to have 4bet-stack off as default line imo. Perhaps 4bet-fold 100bb deep is reasonable option.

Well actual showdown was funny in this. Villain had

Spoiler

QT86ds with Q high flush. Flop and turn are kind of weirdly passive from villain. In river I suppose check is fine as played if plan is to x-r. Though my guess is villain was just calling as that is tendency I seem to face quite often in flush spots. Even if people way underrepresented their hand they will just call most of time.

Yeah preflop 3bet is indeed too wide though with bit more connectivity it would be standard imo.

Well I think 12 hands is already some info. You know if villain knows how to fold preflop some hands or does he play every hand. Does he usually raise aggressively when entering play or does he just call and like to see flops.

Like here "nothing clearly bad" probably means villain doesnt play every hand and is not being super aggressive preflip. So I would say at least you have a read that he isn't just gambling here any cards but probably has something that makes sense. In that sense 4betting feels ofc more bad.

About calling flop and him slowing down on the turn - I dont think so positively. I think people should and will keep betting here if they've strong hand that wants value from draws but also if they themself have the draw to get some folds from hands that cant really stand the heat (ie hands like hero has).

But it's getting quite speculative, I dont think this is a board villain should bet half pot anyway. Because of the texture and the awkward spr it will make on the turn.
