So I open CO and get three callers. Flop overpair, nfd and some bdsd potential. I kind of like just checking flop as I dont have that much interaction with board outside of spades obviously. We are never super bad to get it in on flop, e.g. 35% versus set. But obviously lot of runouts where we dont hit K or spade are not that great. So bloating pot with high chance of turn being nasty for us doesnt feel great option even if betting does bring some protection.

When BU bets and everyone folds I dont mind to just shove versus short stack player. Nice if we get fold and we do crush some hands like QJT9ss. Flipping versus 2p. So I think if BU has 50bb or less x-r is best option but if he is 100bb deep would you still x-r? I would probably prefer just x-c for reasons I mentioned above for cbet option.

Seems like a reasonable play against a short stack.
I guess you forget to reload with you're 97bb stack :f_wink:
For 100bb effective I would call on the flop as well with the over pair and nut flush draw.
I don't think we need to play than a variance spot.

I would prefer betting over checking OTF. I think with OP and NFD we are doing well equity wise plus we have a position over two players which is helpful as well.

As played I would just call the bet which potentially would bring other players into play. We block second NFD though but for sure worse hands would want to play.

Regarding the 100bb stack off that depends on the player.

Pakerface: as played others already folded on the flop, so no one else is going to be calling.

I think this is fine as played.

When playing against 100bb stacks gotta be little more careful as it's single raised pot and I think running into sets in high SPR stackoff situation is just lot more likely. Still this hand is just very strong with OP and backdoor straightdraws dominating some lower draws, so cant really go wrong.

I would check call, not go broke on flop. We are around 40% equity on the flop against broke range. The pot is too small to Risk all on the flop.

Edit: against short stack it is the right move
