Accruing PokerStrategy points question

When will I get my first PokerStrategy points? I've been playing at partypoker after signing up by using your "free play" article page (chasing those free bonus $5.50 tickets!) now that my account is real money and I've become eligible to play their hourly freerolls I've turned a few prizes (Grand Prix MTT tickets and micro P$) into real cash and been playing at the micro cash tables trying to build a bankroll from extremely humble beginnings - not one to back down on any challenge, I love the idea of building a decent roll without ever making a deposit, and believe it is achievable

Where's my StrategyPoints?
Anyway, I digressed - I've collected several party points now, and since each of these points are linked directly to $1 of rake, I should have collected several StrategyPoints now too. But I still have zero.

How long is the delay between earning rake for a site and them notifying you?
I know there is a delay as you have to wait for the sites to send you the rake data on connected accounts, but it's been about two weeks now and I've still not got a single Strategy point. I'm not sure when I would have reached my first $1 of rake, but I think you would have been updated by now, so I'm asking the question just in case it's something stupid like my account isn't actually affiliate linked with PokerStrategy (which would be super stupid since I registered via PS affiliate link on the free play page, and it was through raising a ticket on your support page, and you guys getting in touch with party on my behalf that my account got real-money upgraded in the first place! πŸ˜‚)

Hi Aces,

in those situations, it is usually a good idea to write a ticket to Pokerstrategy support, they can check it out for you.

To write a ticket, go to the 'Help' section under the 'Home' tab on the website and scroll down until you see "Write a ticket".

Thanks Harrier! And good idea - I sent them (party poker) an email to ask if the affiliate is set correct.

I've already got a ticket with pokerstrategy RE my free $5.50 ticket(s) - which is where the PS staff contacted party on my behalf and a few days later I found my account was real money upgraded, but without afore mentioned tickets. On that basis it stands to reason the affiliate is set correctly on my account. But it doesn't hurt to check.

Edit: If you opt-in to the partypoker bonus boost, which looks like their rakeback programme, does that stop the affiliate from recieving anything?! Surely not, otherwise no affiliate would get paid πŸ˜‚. But that's how I know how much rake I've generated, since I have partypoker points!

I expect Pokerstrategy support would be able to give better infos about this than the one at PartyPoker, but fair enough, it's worth a try. Maybe they can sort it out for you already. If not, you know what to do.

Keep us updated on how this goes for you. If you linked your account correctly, it should be a matter of time until you get those strategy points. If not, I'm afraid there is not much that can be done - except for signing up at a different room. But the way you described it, I expect everything should be in order.

It's always nice to see some more active members around here, so it would be good to see you with Bronze or better so you can also share pictures and all that.

As Harrier88 already suggested I suggest that you create a customer support ticket Follow the link then click the beside "Open a new ticket"
Give them all the details you can, such as your username, the date when you joined and so on.

In the past we used to recommend waiting 48 hours or even long if a weekend is involved, however lately some poker sites only upload data to PokerStrategy.com weekly. I don't know which sites.

Sorry, maybe my first reply wasn't particularly clear, I've already got a ticket created with PS support (and it was originally via this ticket that PS contacted party to 1) upgrade my account and 2) award me the free tickets. Part 1 complete, but still waiting part 2).

I already updated this ticket before creating this thread - to ask about the tickets and checking if I'm being tracked properly. I guess I then thought to also ask the forum members this question whilst waiting for support to answer my ticket.

So that's why I went and contacted party as well; originally I interpreted Harriers suggested action as raising a ticket with party, LOL πŸ˜‚ But when his instructions didn't match and I couldn't find the Open Ticket option in the party app as he described, I then noticed he meant PS support. But I thought, hey, it won't hurt to ask party directly! So I did 😊.

Yeah, thats why I decided to just relax and give it a week before even checking my points. But now I'm 99% sure it's been two weeks, definately quite a bit longer than 48 hours, I'm getting a tad worried. Maybe I only collected enough rake during the last week, so it's not completely worry time yet though.
