BU is playing really wide and not folding anything to 3bet probably. Also sticky versus cbets in single raised pots at least. My image should be on tight side if villain happens to think of it.

So preflop 3bet is imo quite standard with 9966ss. Rainbow I would just call.

Flop is either x-f or small bet. Not sure if I like betting versus this guy as he might call too wide. But I thought flop is fairly dry and I have some blocker/future blocker value. Probably still getting stuff like TT-QQ to fold plus all air that still have lot of equity. This guy also had tendency to bet versus check really often at least in single raised pots.

I were planning to give up on blanks for most part but then the A pops up on turn. Which made me to think of potentially spewy stuff. So I expect him to call any Kx on flop. Probably also some pair+gs etc. Not sure if he would raise two pairs or sets. Probably decent amount of time. But no reads really on that. I had just been missing boards all the time and this guy just took down smallish pots really often so far.

So A is really good for my range and puts villain into tough spot if he decided to just call some flopped two pairs and of course his Kx as well. I went with sizable second barrel still having some ways to improve with often alive set outs. Would be nice to have hand like 8866 though.

Well I get called again and river complete 65 straight. When I have got to this point my hand is just mandatory triple barrel. I also like this hand from perspective of unblocking QJT so there are more natural folding hands for villain. So I dont know if any street was that out of line.

Seems optimistic indeed, but I would most likely slowdown the turn and lose the pot as PLO fish.
it's interesting what our PLO expert Kyyberi thinks about this hand.

Cheers,

Well, if he doesn't like to fold what's the point of bluffing 3 streets? What's the point of even bluffing the flop?

Just wondering...

I had not really seen showdowns so he might have had reasonable hands when calling cbets in single raised pots. My hands had not been reasonable to barrel on runouts or call his bets so so don't really have read if he is calling versus multiple barrels.

Plus this is 3bwt pot and turn is really good for my range.

The preflop 3-bet is marginal I´d say not standard. This hand is not in my gameplan SB 3bet vs BU range and if we expand our 3-bet we´d prefer to do so with the value-candidates like loosening up premium pairs and broadway rundowns etc..., that low stuff is more suitable for balancing purposes so it is a good 3-bet if you expect villain to have a balanced response to your 3-bets. With single-suited double-pair we are 3-betting selectively like :9x: :9x: :3x: :3x: or :8x: :8x: :4x: :4x: should not be 3-bet.

If you want to fold out QQ to TT I´d say a pot-sized bet is more suitable to cbet otf. I am not sure the average loosy loose folds it to a small bet just because of 1 overcard. A small bet also is not standard, usually we pot our AA-heavy range on this dry texture. Solver pots it more often and I´d even say potting more than optimum makes sense because of looser call-vs-3bet ranges and our improved playability (equity denial).

The Ace on the turn is a perfect card to ship it as a bluff. We can also shove an :8x:, :6x:, :9x: or :3x: so this is a nice bluffing hand indeed. As played I think sizing it down to half pot makes sense when opting of half-pot otf too as we should have lots of FE and it keeps some room to make a decision on different riverplays.

River bluff is fine. Shoving almost any :6x: without SDV I guess.

Well played postflop. Preflop I would not like to make big pot with this hand even op and ip as well. Probably the double suited hand is nice for a reraise

If oppo is opening wide and sticky, I would definitely just call. 3betting that hand gets a lot of it's value from generating FE on boards that favor AAxx. Versus this player, just hit the hand before pushing chips in.

As played flop cbet is mandatory. Versus any flop continue range you have enough FE. As he calls, he has something. Turn is A, and versus any thinking player you should have huge FE versus anything else than sets/wraps, and you block the straight draws. His range should be weighted towards Kxxx, but then again you KNOW he doesn't like folding. This is where the whole preflop thing fires back. You 3bet with a hand that flops 75% of times nothing/weak, and to win the pot you need to bluff. But you do this versus opponent who doesn't like to fold.

If opponent was tight and fold-happy, this line of 3bet pre, bet flop bet turn would be good.

I agree to this. Preflop there are many players that have quite wide stealing ranges or openraise loose in general but it does not make a lot of sense to 3bet balanced. We also cannot 3bet very wide to encounter this but have to rely somehow that dominating opponents in seemingly coolers might give us more domination spots over the long haul. I think in PLO it is so hard to win money against tight players. I mean if they just adapt slightly it gets very hard to out play them or steal the blind, since they just try to get ip and since they are tight they wont defend too much anyways and you do not win a lot by stealing blinds at PLO50.

About the turn I´d like to add that this is a very frequent thought I have too. Some villains just cant let their top-pair go on an ace-board so against those we should cbet halfpot more often and give up without improvement. It makes a huge different which kind of behaviour villain has in such specific spots like stack-off in 3bp. We really have to take notes here because there are some player especially weak regulars with stats like vpip 30 pfr 20 and 5% 3bet that have some obvious weaknesses like merged continuations or aggressive lines that are too merged but try to perform well in handstrengths always one step more tight than you when it comes to the value hands. So we have to find out what they do against an increased stabbing grequency. Sometimes against tags it might get obvious where we are barreling to loose from oop on boards where we should be aggressive or bet bigger than gto to deny equity but many tags just stick to their handstrength sheme and play their hands accordingly not adapting at all against other regs. This leads occasionally to some really crazy bluff shoves ott and otr when your reads are strong (is villain calling straight on monotone board? what ranks of overpairs on paired board are good enough for 1-2 bets? calling mediocre to weak two-pair stuff on which textures?).

In general since it becomes a mistake so quickly barreling too much oop in 3bp I´d rather not bluff multiple streets without decent equity or reads. The value of straight blockers is very limited here, since you do not have so much low cards in your 3bet range so you cant bluff very often aswell and furthermore you cannot rely on repping your top-range only since stack-offs at least should become wider. So to stay somewhat balanced I do more often just check-fold/call but without reads since this spot is so expensive if you are wrong and you really cannot apply the high GTO frequencies on for us more favourable textues, also for me it is still so complex to manage apply GTO-similar plays so in gray areas or without strong valueI play more cautiosly with air or blocker lines I´d usually just follow through like nutstraight blockers on a broadway board.

The flop cbet is very good in general just because of the hand-flop interaction and usually we should bet the turn aswell as it boosts our range equity so much. But an exploit can also mean that we back up if we know villain has no range awareness or is just too sticky so on the turn there is an option to just check-fold. I already mentioned the sizings are so bad. If we have much FE with the :Ax: a small bet should be sufficient to fold out all marginal hands that actually can fold. For this we can set up a pot-shove on river straight cards that might generate more FE and buy us the set cheaper. Potting turn also makes sense if villains calldowns are very elastic. But after potting the turn I´d rather give up otr but with both sizings we can´t rely too much on stuff to still fold at the ultra-low spr otr so you check-fold after potting the turn on all cards and check-fold after half-potting the turn if you do not improve or hit your scarecard still makes sense to me.
