A trophy from last week just for kicks (haven't been playing much lately, but planning to change that).

Huge Sunday, horrible runs. Did get 100€ PKO 55k€ guaranteed to ITM, but crashed at stream around 50th place. 2nd place from this PLO being biggest cash:

Pretty much horrible break-even day with 1k€ buy-ins and like 1,1k€ cashes.

I play on multiple sites and try a bit not to look on results too much on short term. I actually got an excel, where I got deposits + withdrawals calculated alongside starting bankroll and have made it a habit to calculate results four times a year. I even post them on blogspot: http://pokeriblog.blogspot.com/2023/07/2023-q2-pelitulokset.html

But maybe I'll do some limited bankroll challenge at some spot. Last 3-4 years most of my profit has actually come from different casino / sportsbook bonuses - they've been easier to grind alongside studies.

Today was quick -400 and stopped registering after 2 hours, was impossible to win any critical spots. Well, at least got this ticket from last running event.

Here's the reason why I 1) love and 2) hate NLO8 MTTs at a single hand. 6th place result from this one, opponent literally plays about the worst hand possible from UTG.

Been running horribly, but trying to play good session today while watching Napoleonic Wars vids alongside to keep my concentration (mainly) on poker. Bit of a chance on low leaderboard @ Unibet Summer Knockout Festival, was 14th spot today but I am not sure if I wish to play every day as that leaderboard doesn't have very good prizes.

Looked horrible day, but fought till the end and managed to finish off 2 out 4 good chances at these MTTs:

Texas Hold'em drains money, Omaha's bring it back. Regular day at office.

Maybe you are better in Omaha than in NLHE compared to the average player in both disciplines.
If you like to win you could concentrate on you're best game and improve it even more.

I actually think that while PLO is just my 3rd strongest game I am actually better in comparison to average PLO player than against average NLHE player. Mediocre players at PLO are like super bad, while mediocre players at NLHE still usually sort of know something and nitting isn't so bad as it is in PLO during shorter stacks.

Though O8 might be my strongest game. Problem with concentration on Omaha or Omaha Hi-Lo MTTs is though that there's after all so few of them outside of lowest buy-in levels to play. You can always find Texas Hold'em MTTs running but other formats are far and few in between.

3rd place from sort of "already won" MTT, which was 5€ R/A Texas MTT. You just know the feeling when you dominate the table, but win absolutely 0 flips at the final table which lasts long? Most of those flips being 70-30 to your advantage.

Sort of frustrating week from Sunday till Thursday - marginally profitable, but without good successes and where small MTTs get some limited success while bigger MTTs get absolutely none and drain almost all winnings from those small ones.

Maybe I will read rest of this book finally:

Usually Dara/Barry books are good, but bring very little new stuff for me. Downside of having been playing winning MTT game since 2005. Especially I expect endgame poker strategy being my strength, as I have always preferred smaller fields which also bring lots of experience at Endgame Poker Strategy (unlike megafields which you final table very rarely).

Just something I try to usually remember is that volume will even the variance. You'll probably get those in the future and maybe even win some 30-70 at times.

Horrible Sunday runs, but last one (5€ R/A) at least went to the end while other deepruns crashed just before money (and got 25€ PKO one mincash).

Somewhat profitable Sunday and week, not happy but when all the bigger events went horrible I guess it is fightback win.

Small games, small trophies (though 100€ with bounties). Though had 4 bubbles yesterday, which wasn't nice.

MTTs are sleep patterns worst enemies. Quickly ruined up mine again ♦

Back to the fray. Started badly, but managed to snatch small trophy and bigger 2nd place from small-field 50€ rebuy/add-on.

About that 700€ profit today and got two tickets to play some new lotteries:

Yeah I agree, larger fields means more variance. Generally I play megafields very rarely - most Texas MTTs I play have far less than 500 participants.

Yesterday no luck - got one 2nd place from very small field 10€ PLO R/A and 2 small mincashes + some bounties + one 100€ ticket which covered most though not all buy-ins for the day.

Few ammos to WCOOP-satellites and 55$ event + 82$ NLO8 hyper PKO - no returns. Maybe playing proper session tomorrow.

Have you seen any difference, which games/buyins have the easiest opponents?
