Target of this blog is to support my development as PLO player. I hope it will be useful also for other PLO beginners.
Small introduction. I Joined ps.fi in 2008 when didn’t know anything about poker:f_grin: I’m not going to disclose my personal details or sites where I play now but in in 2008 I already wasn’t young. Nice to see here some other Old Farts from those times like Kyyberi, ghaleon and Nemo who may remember something about me.
I read all PS beginners materials and decided that FL Holdem is my game. I took my first free money to Titan Poker and played there 10-handed until learned to decide what to with my cards without looking from PS-instructions
When I learned it bankroll was empty. I tried with free money other sites like 888, Pokerstars, Tilt, Party, 365 etc. without success until joined Mansion Poker.
In Mansion I multitabled full tables with some profit and very good rakeback with Mansion points. When all sites changed their rake rules making playing for Stones (I played of course TA ) in full tables not profitable and full tables became empty and I moved to 6-handed FL. I participated all PS.fi live FL training sessions and was 2 or 3 times the player instructed by zamwise. Made some profit in FL tables and NL tournaments and very good rakeback with Mansion points. Biggest tournament prize was 1600$ for 2nd place. I started to learn also PLO continued and to play it occasionally after mid 2011 until June this year when I didn’t have lot of time for poker.
I was during some months on PS Platinum level and once won Diamond in ps.fi weekly or monthly race. Now I have 107000 PS lifetime points.
I’m not targeting to be a poker millionaire. Poker will be for me one hoppy among others but I will take it seriously. I have HM Omaha micro because I don’t like playing without HUD and stats. From time I use for this hoppy I use max 20% for playing and 80% for learning and analyzing my gaming and hands.
First target: to be better than average player in micro PLO.
2nd: to get more out from HM
First financial target: to beat the rake in September 2023 in non-fast micro PLO.
In next post I plan to show some statistics so far and tell something about my games after June this year.
