88 play very well against his first raise range, so it is a slowplay op. Sometimes it is a 3bet with 22+55 and 5 Bet push to reraise. As played preflop I am clueless on flop. Probabl you played it well and saved a lot of money.

Well played I think. It's tough to get value on the turn I think and maybe villain could change some hands in to a bluff with for example the A♦:. River is pretty standard as well. Leading would be weird and you have a bluff catcher.

Why the flop sizing? It has the risk of inducing a raise in a 3bet pot where getting to showdown so we can realise our equity would be difficult.

There are plenty of hands that villain can raise here including backdroor spades, flush draws, some pocket pairs, a small amount of gutshots that attack the small sizing and then a bunch of cards that fall on the turn that put us under pressure when he continues, say a 9 or a diamond, a spade or high card.

I prefer bet a normal size and then plan to x/call turn on blanks/ high cards he might bluff. Basically I just want to realise our equity on a somewhat connected board where we block the majority of straight draws.

So what You mean about normal sizing? I see some players cbets on 3bet pots between 1/3-2/3 pot.

Yeah fair enough. Maybe normal isn’t the right word. Around half pot seems better to me. Do you find guys are raising much on these 1/3 sizings? I prefer a bet size like this on the turn if the flop goes check check because villains range is weaker and thus more susceptible to fold to a smaller bet
