Went home humbled. Double downed on poker by scooping up $350 worth of poker books on Audible thinking I could win that and what I lost back if I manage to study all that enough, time will tell I suppose.
Found out about my Vegas rewards and the Bellagio poker app. Now here is something worthwhile, no risk rewards, minimum bets to maximize the ability to earn rewards over time. Holding out for a cruise!
Poker has always been my weakest game. Somebody told me once to make your weakness your strength and you'll be unstoppable.
There was a man at that first game who later approached me (he had the look of a man who see's great potential, I could tell that) telling me about poker math. What the hell is poker math? I always thought it was a social game of bluffs and tells which is precisely the reason I suck so bad at it, right? Apparently wrong.
I also remember the rewards being spoken about at the table, something like $1 an hour!? Now wait a minute, I thought poker was about going all in and taking someone for all they got! Again, I think I was wrong.
I hope they have poker and player rewards on the cruise. Anyway, this blog as titled is about my journey with poker and player rewards, I want to see how far I can go with this, can it truly be a rewarding hobby? A profitable hobby even? I dare not say or dream career. But I have the time and the mind to get myself some house money perks; comps and I'm thinking gaming the rewards systems is something I can be about.
Just got to play well enough to break even in poker, in order to profit in player rewards. That is my goal with poker.
