KQ flop shove

KQo is a close open from UTG. Especially if you deal with a loose passive players behind you that has position.
Flop play seems pretty standard and even against a straight you have 4 outs to hit a full house.

Wouldn't his PFR of 26 and 46 ATS indicate some aggressiveness? OK he has 0 3b but on ±50 hds I'm not putting to much attention to that.
Anyway I was not aware this hand should more be a fold UTG with passive loose players behind and I learned something new and something I'll need to explore a bit more to improve. Thx!!

What?! Where did you get idea that you should tighten up with whale on the table? Unless there was a revolution in poker science past few months it's exactly opposite. We want to play against whales as much as possible, especially hands that make big top pairs. KQo maybe dont crush his range totally (you have like 58%), but if you make top pair, you have nuts, and if you dont, he will fold often enough to cb, cause he dont hit often with his random hand. I dont get it, why should I play more hands againts good (somewhat) opponents than against total fish?

I'm more a fan to play loose in position than playing loose out of position against a whale. That's why I would play tighter from UTG and KQo is a decent hand, but it's hard to hit a flush with. With KQs you have more playabillity post-flop if you end up multi way that could happen often if you play against a lot of whales on the table.

As played there's no way you should be shipping here. Unless you have a soul read. 70 vpip, yes he's loose. But it's a mutiway pot. Ranges are tighter. You're not looking to go broke. I would call then reassess turn. You have outs to the nuts.

On the flop I'd bet less, perhaps 0.50$. But it's fine.

If he doesn't raise you on the flop, THEN you can size up, perhaps even overbet the turn assuming a blank.
If you don't have the nuts in these limits, don't go broke.
