iPoker - €0.50 PL Hi (6 max) - Omaha Hi - 3 players
Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3

SB: €61.47 (122.9 bb)
Hero (BB): €128.99 (258 bb)
BTN: €38.79 (77.6 bb)

SB posts €0.25, Hero posts BB €0.50

Pre Flop: (pot: €0.75) Hero has A♦: 2♣: 3♥: 3♦:
fold, SB raises to €1.00, Hero calls €0.50

Flop: (€2.00, 2 players) A♥: 8♥: 2♠:
SB bets €2.00, Hero calls €2.00

Turn: (€6.00, 2 players) 4♦:
SB bets €6.00, Hero calls €6.00

River: (€18.00, 2 players) K♦:
SB bets €18.00, , Hero raises to €72.00

Do you like it? Ott with flushdraw possible and decent SDV I decided to call the nutblockers. Villain is a rec-reg (60/25/10) playing overly loose but has tendencies to play solid vs other regs. We have like 3k handhistory. His cbets oop is overly high (60%) and his probing vs missed bet is ~40%. His loose tendencies speak against a bluff, alternative line otr would be just folding.

I would just fold turn or river. River is bad for hero call as now also some nut fd combos improve. Though plain Kx one pair combos make decent river bluffs.

In general I am not fan of repping wheel straights as those are somewhat rare even in BvB scenario.

We do have the option to call.

Yeah I think you're right call might be better than fold, considering the raise I think he'd betting too much and also quite merged and maybe underbluffing so his range would contain primarily 2pair-hands better than our bluffcatcher that'd still fold vs shoves. Not sure about my FE against sth. like Top-2pair or bottom-set with the smallish rumpstack left otr.

Though plain Kx one pair combos make decent river bluffs.

Bluff-raise K33x I guess.

Result:

River: (€18.00, 2 players) K♦:
SB bets €18.00, Hero raises to €72.00, SB calls €34.47

Results: €122.94 pot (€1.50 rake)
Final Board: A♥: 8♥: 2♠: 4♦: K♦:

SB shows 3♣: T♦: 8♦: 8♣:: (Three of a Kind, Eights)
(Pre 63%, Flop 89%, Turn 85%)

Hero mucks A♦: 2♣: 3♥: 3♦:: (Two Pair, Aces and Twos)
(Pre 37%, Flop 11%, Turn 15%)

SB wins €121.44

He had the nutblocker too.^^ Not expecting him to fold that one...

Meant Kx from opponent point of view make decent triple barrel as AK also make very solid value bet. Probably some 8x are fine also as it then block A8 and 88.

Yes makes sense. 33 weak/no SDV or blocker like (K33x) probably goes into bluff check-raise.

Considering villain in specific I can assure you villain is not thinking in those terms and just betting random stuff with and without SDV at mid/high frequency... :f_biggrin:

Folding turn is too nitty isn't it? Especially in BvB, 3-handed, against a loose c-bettor, and also blocking the nuts.

I would devalue nut blocker value in this case. E.g. opponent is not that scared of wheel straight in general and will usually have still kind of wide value range on turn. So versus this less polarised range we are still behind of made hands value betting and somewhat low chance to improve.

But yeah it's still somewhat tight to fold but at same time from my experience these kind of players are potting river as well with high frequency. Any reads on whatever villain has low equity bluffs are quite valuable imo.

PS: So if board was like A965 I would place lot more value into having 77/88 as on this kind of board two pairs and sets are usually slowing down at least without reasonably good backup.

Yeah I think so.

The SPR is pretty high (>3) so if he is decent, he should not bet-call too many hands actually. Ofc against the specific opponent it´s probably true that we dont have too much FE.
