PLO100 AJ92ds trying to use small turn lead in sensible fashion?

I think this hand is legitim...

I think why not try to approach the turn that way... I personally think less aggressive strategy is better overall in these cases, but I didn't think like that in the past.

The Top Two pair looks like a strong hand...

How often in reality you have a strong hand when you check-call flop and lead small on the turn? With small leads there are pros and cons.

On a good side, it puts opponents into situations they are not comfortable with, which might lead them to make more mistakes. If opponents react passively, it gives you good control of the pot and price for draws if you choose to. If they react aggressively, you can use that lead to induce them.

On a bad side, it's really hard to have balance in it. And if you do, it also means that you give up some value from your strong hands to increase the value of your weaker hands. At the same time, you give your opponents a lot of +EV calls with their draws and will put you into tought rivers spots (as opponents ranges are less defined on the river).

Small leads are like fire: powerfull weapon when controlled, but horrible if uncontrolled. The important part is to monitor how opponents react and play against those small bets. And also consider if that part of your strategy tree is even needed versus certain opponents.

Flush is also a decent possibility. I think it will be hard to value bet on PLO on the river.
