i would do the same here, not nearly the same situation as before, now you have position and fold equity.

i wouldnt put him on a set, so it is either AA slowplayed or a scared pair or 2 overcards.. things that are easily foldable anyway.

i have no idea about stats, is 26 wts a lot?

i would shove anyway.

you rivered him no doubt

he was probably trying to protect his hand and you screwed him over lol

Unfortunately not. Rag Aces with the rag part giving villain two pair...

we are not looking for what happenned later, just whether what he did was right at the moment when he did it.

:)

shame for the two pair, i knew he had a scared pair lol

i would still do the same, fold equity is what you are after..

I think its likely he donks any pair and goes broke to your shove as he's such a fish. In that scenario you would thus be on limited OC outs which you may have to discount and a BD FD.

You likely don't have the 3.1 to 1 odds to push but you may be able to call for implieds.

so he paired on the flop? and you moved allin, so he did right to call

or did he have A2, which i fail to see why he would call with that

in which case, all in bluff was a ott, shoulda just bailed

If I knew him for donkbetting with garbage, I could be inclined to push.. but here, being a little cautious, I'd put him on PP, Ax with pair, OESD, maybe a gutshot with oc. These calling stations also call big pairs many times, so I wouldn't be surprised to see TT or JJ either.

So with only OC+Bck FD and no further reads, I think I would actually fold.

what db manager are you using? I think a few additional stats could be useful in this type of situation

A very slow-working elephant. Basically, my popup takes so long to popup that it's no use for decision making...

Here, with only 55 hands, I don't think it would have made a difference.

Seems like overall a fold was best but my push wasn't an enormous mistake.

I completely agree

Raise bigger preflop and against a fish, u have to determine if you can let him Fold approximately 33% of his range postflop given the fact that your 6 outs are clean.

The less outs you have, the earlier I am more inclined to fold.
This case is close but I prefer folding + noting and then shoving the next time you see the same exact situation.

Raise bigger preflop

Regarding this: I Raised 4bb at NL10, NL25, and NL50. At NL100 everyone seems to raise 3BB (or max 3.5bb).

So, I generally raise 3BB + 1BB per caller.

Can you explain why it's better to raise 4bb instead?

Thanks

p.s. the rest of your advice makes sense - thanks.

he is saying it so that you get more money out of him since he is not folding preflop and if he is going to suck out then he should pay a higher price for simply being a calling station

it's always better to raise a little more when there are calling stations around - you need to squeeze out the value.

But apparently you should also raise a little more so that peeps dont get the implied odds to go set mining...

On Tight tables it is ok to raise 3bb but do not raise 3bb because everyone else does, that doesn't really make sense.

I raise Pot preflop (3bb on CO, BTn 2.5/3) because mostly I play on Loose tables.
