Bet more preflop since you are OOP (and because of minbet in addition to your bad position).

Flop is fine but on the turn you should shove. You are not folding anymore (since you had $3,62 left).

What was your intention? b/f on the turn?

i thought he may have hit Ace on the turn, but needed info so i bet a bit and he if reraised i would have folded.

i didn't think i could just shove, in case he did have a pair of aces, and the shove would have been far bigger than the pot, i would either be a massive underdog or win nothing extra from the hand.

admittedly, i wasn't thinking too great

On the turn, you had $3,62 effective stack left. You were committed to the pot. Therefore, b/f on the turn would be a big mistake, especially, beacuse draws are possible. By direct shove, you might induce a from from 8x or better pair.
