This is a typical underpair play... I'm assuming he's playing some sort of pocket pair here, probably 77, 88 or 99, maybe TT.

However you have no reason to let him get to showdown this cheap. You re-raised pre-flop, indication you have a strong hand. I would just continue being aggresive. Just raise the flop up to $1. You might see a fold here but...

Often they'll also call you and check it to you on the turn to see if you really have a hand... in that case you just continue by making a normal 2/3-3/4 pot bet again and you'll take down the pot very often.

If not you'll have to give up the hand but if this guy actually had a really strong hand he'd check/raise you or make a bigger donk bet. I've rarely see anyone bet this small on 3 streets with an overpair or better.

agree, since villain range is often draw or small pair, then I like raising flop and betting turn.
