Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em Tournament, 40/80 Blinds (8 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

BB (t995)
UTG (t2870)
Hero (UTG+1) (t1320)
MP1 (t2565)
MP2 (t1275)
CO (t2000)
Button (t1620)
SB (t855)

Hero's M: 11.00

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Q♥, A♣
UTG calls t80, Hero ?

34 hands into the tournament, I have played only one hand up until now which did not go to showdown.
in this spot, with this stack - do I raise? if so, how much? a normal raise would make me pot committed. a smaller raise might invite others into the hand.
do I shove? not a small enough stack and my position quite early.
do I fold? my first playable hand in some time?
the limper's stats: vpip 35 pr 15 with his stack, I don't think he would mind calling my raise.
any suggestions?

Hey Sharoni.

For all the reasons you mention, this makes it an awkward decision.

If I were playing it, I think I would just fold. I will have position on UTG, but may get a call from behind as well, and too often I won't improve on the flop, and the hand becomes impossible for me to play profitably then.

At the next blind level, I get a shoving/reshoving stack which becomes easier to work with, so I would wait for that.

Hi all,

I make a normal raise. However postflop I either do not cbet my misses, or I will cbet with the intention of getting it in with AQ high (like on 322, I might cbet and call a shove for example).

Obviously call a shove preflop.

Our equity is too good, and our stack is too short to just fold it preflop
