It took 888.com (Pacific Poker) way too long to cashout my earnings. Today, I finally received a $2500 (US) bankdraft, which initially was a $50 bonus from this very site.

Those new guys out there, anything can happen. Stick to your strategy and play smart. It never hurts to trust your gut once and awhile either.

I remember when I first came on this site, a few guys gave me a hard time, saying I'd lose my bankroll long before I'd be able to cash out. Well, I certainly appreciate those comments, because they made me drive harder to acheive my goal. And that is this:

I turned a free $50 into a real life check for $2500 which I can spend on anything I want. I was thinking booze and hookers. Any thoughts?

By the way, how long did it take you to make those 2,5k?

I'd go for boats and hoes (Step Brothers!)

keep some for poker... 500 would be ok to play 10$ buyins tournaments or SnG's

Why withdraw...... :(
I would never withdraw 2.5k unless I make like 8-10k a month playing poker.

I'd spend it on party, PC, TV, etc.
Or climbing a mountain. I think my big first withdrawal will be for that :)

I made the withdrawal for several reasons, I still have money left on the Pacific Poker site, but for those that have played there, know it is a very very juicy Hold 'em site.

I think I'm going to continue on my path that I originally set out to do:

turn nothing into a lot, and so far, I'm getting there.

I will also say that I am not a full-time poker player, and that some tactics I used to make the $2500 in such a short time are not recommended. I'm not saying the strategies at this site haven't be fantastic, but road I took to get here is a lot different than the road most of you choose.

Put it into pokerstars and make yourself a permanent income

I plan to do something along the lines of turning the $2500 into a permanent way of generating income.

I'm not sure if Poker is the way I want to go for sure. You learn a lot of things about yourself and poker when grinding away hour after hour in front of a computer.
