Well I have limited knowledge of equity and all that but I mean, he's got 3 big hands to beat you woth there, the ace, the nine, the flush. I think you can rule out the nine its just too unlikely, the flush maybe, but I think the ace is really likely.

I think its the right fold. It looks to me like he probably flushed and then tried to get some value for it.

He probably had an ace and the river scared him so he potted. Good fold imo.
