why would you push?

Well the thinking was that I'm happy to win the pot here and now if villains fold (i.e. by generating fold equity), or to ensure that if I hit I get paid off.

I felt that if I just call and hit, it's harder to get paid off.

But maybe I'm wrong - do you think just calling was better?

if you hit the flush there are still enough hands around that pay you off.

you need some implieds to justify a call here, but those two are loose enough to have them.

Well I certainly agree that their looseness works against our FE.

But doesn't it also mean we have less implieds, since they'll less often have a hand they're willing to go broke with if an obvious draw completes?

I like Check/calling for implieds here. I don't really think you have to shove.

true, if you have opponents who are loose preflop but tighten up postflop.

first i don't think they would throw something like middle pair away (that is tighten up postflop) and second you can still hit a ♣ that makes someone 2 pair, trpis, a straight or even a lower flush here.

If utg+1 just bets and the other one folds, I consider the check/shove

now as played, you want to get moniez on the Turn & River from 2 opponents whenever you hit.

+ You want to have those weaker hands in their range at all time that will call your vBets
+ You do not isolate yourself against better hands
