Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.25(BB) Poker Stars
SB ($74.60)
BB ($6)
UTG ($25.60)
UTG+1 ($33.70)
Hero ($25.25)
BTN ($22.90)

Dealt to Hero A♠ 9♠

fold, fold, Hero raises to $1, fold, SB calls $0.90, fold

FLOP ($2.25) J♠ 3♠ 4♦

SB checks, Hero bets $1.50, SB raises to $5, Hero calls $3.50

TURN ($12.25) J♠ 3♠ 4♦ 6♣

SB bets $8, Hero folds

With the such good odds can we fold here with FD + over card?

i think you have to consider the situation more than the maths in spots like this one...

like, is the player aggressive? have you been aggressive in general?

maybe if you shove he could fold. only that move makes any sense, and even there i think you may be a little behind as i do not really think your overcard really is an out, the guy is trying to represent a set.

so it really is situational. i think i would fold but you dont want to be doing that too often as it gives villains fold equity against you.

but im sure you know this already.

ok! i have an answer! as you played it fold on the turn.

but in reality you should have shoved on the flop.

I think there is also nothing wrong b/c flop and shoving turn against aggressive players, since they would often b/f turn with air or maybe even b/c with worse flushdraws.
If you believe that player is always holding there set, then fold on the turn is ok.
